Hiya Folks!
We are uploading some rare stuff over att www.reverbnation.com/lochvostok if you sign up to our fanlist. So here's an old fucker for ya! Impressions from Dark Logic as it sounded in the rehersal room...flaws'n'all!
Oh and by the way, we posted some live clips at our myspace as well... gee arent we on a roll !
A little treat:
if you sign up as fans over at our Reverbnation page: http://www.reverbnation.com/lochvostok we will put up some rare shit and stuff for you to download, first out: Defiled
"Defiled was recorded for the Japanese market since they always want the bonus track thing..."we're sooo exclusive"...so here you have...the leftover!"
Folks, the new album is done. 9 cheezy songs, 9 cheezy pieces of intricate lyricism. Teddy and Fredrik spent weeks preparing the lyrical content by watching conspiracy theory themed documentaries, true or not, interresting it is, and now we're fucked beyond belief, wearing tin foil hats just in case the government wanna read our thoughts.
For a little preview of a new song head over to our myspace!
We'll be back in a few weeks announcing the release date and other juicy details!
Wow...what the hell happened? Another year flew by us like a concorde filled with e-cranked rave kids. We did quite a few high profile shows like the Sweden Rock Festival and Reykjavik, Iceland w/Rotting Christ, the fantastic Headway festival and so forth. Unfortunately the King Diamond tour didn't happen, it's postponed 'til the fall '08 now...let's hope the King recovers from his herniated spine disc.
We started the recording of the third Vostok album, tentatively titled "Based on True Events" so far we've done Drums, Guitars, Bass, Keys and Solo's, that leaves some extra keys, some guitar overdubs and lead vocals to be done.
Loch Vostok also started the planning of the fourth album, it might be on the same topic as "Based on True Events" but it will change the way Vostok works. After BOTE we will probably go more organic and primitive, sophistication is for geezers. We'll see, maybe we'll even stop doing the "album" thing, it's 2008 now and the downloading has come to be the way music is mainly distributed. Not many people care about the CD, it's as obsolete as floppy's, vinyls and cassettes and we make absolutely NO money whatsoever anymore. Maybe we'll start giving away music, and selling the package as a different format...a cartoon magazine featuring TYM the conqueror or something :) Anywayz...2007 was good to Vostok, but 2008 will be better!
On behalf of the whole band, Happy New Year to you all!
//Teddy
Yeah, we're behind schedule, Blueflame Productions decided to update the studio, from Mackie HDR to Cubase 4/MOTU 24I/O. So, we're picking up the recordings next week again, now time for low frequency rumble courtesy of Mr Tym.
Oh, we enjoyed Iceland quite a bit... a gig report is coming from Thorsteinn soon.
Hilfe! Teddy/LV
Well folks, another Loch Vostok album is in the works. Alvaro has already started laying down the drumtracks. Two songs done so far... Hehe I bet mr. controlfreak (you know who) is biting his nails right now, since he is on the other side of the Atlantic not being able to supervise! Well further updates on this drama will be posted of course!
Fredrik/LV
Loch Vostok is very happy to announce that we'll be playing Reykjavik, Iceland August 25th & 26th, supporting Greek legends Rotting Christ... for fucks sake... how can you not love a band with a name like that? We're enjoying their latest album "Theogonia" quite a lot!
Our good friend Thorsteinn Kolbeinsson set this up together with his friend Atli, so thanks guys for giving us this great opportunity to visit Iceland, it's gonna be killer!
Skål! / LV
We're proud to announce that Loch Vostok will be openers for King Diamond on his upcoming European tour this autumn. This time we'll play outside scandinavia, and we're opening for the King together with danish kickass band Manticora!
So check back for the dates to finalize and see you on tour damn it!

Played Copenfuckinhagen this weekend...
Playing the Rock is always a pleasure
but this time was a bit different, we were headlining and the people were actually there to see us wich was
very very cool. The audience was very responsive and the alcohol was flowing in a fast and steady pace.
We sold a lot of merch, thanks to Simon, our Merch-enary. Thanks to the opening acts 7th Wonder and Moonlight Agony. Thanks to Intromental for setting it up, thanks to Claus for the hospitality and thanks to ourselves for getting pissdrunk and partying 'til 5:30 in the morning! Woohoo, now, time to get AMSTERDAMNED!
By the way head over to our myspace site where you'll find some pics of the gig!
We had some great fun yesterday playing Alingsås Hårdrocksfestival with Grave, God Among Insects and Raise Hell. Many thanks to you who came by and saw us even though we had some technical problems on stage. A big fucking thanx to Björn & Co. for great arrangements. And of course the other bands for a supreme night of metal & drinking afterwards hehe skål tamefan!
We are working on some live dates this spring and we have one confirmed for you: February 24th at Alingsås Hårdrocksfestival with Grave, Raise Hell, God Among Insects and Draconian. Gonna be a metal night to remember for sure! More info here
More dates to follow soon!
So, another year passed by, lotsa sweet stuff happened...
We got ourselves the final keyboardist. Fredrik lives and breathes Loch Vostok already, a true family member since day one.
The new record deal with Escapi Music which resulted in absolutely perfect distribution all over the globe (well I hear they have some problems with Logistics in Antarctica) and they've been doing a great job so far, mostly had contact with Leo Lavaro and Lars Chriss, but what sweet sweet gentlemen they are, super cool, even though we're not selling like ABBA, they're always very cooperative.
Then came the King Diamond Tour, our first "real" tour. Our crew Urban Stenfelt (Driver), Marcus Ring (Merch,Runner), Simon Hannula (Merch, Runner) and Intromental Management Tour Manager René Nielsen made this trip an amazing first tour, the King Diamond guys were super cool, hung out with us and didn't act like rockstars at all. Their crew made our tour so much easier, they learned us stuff we wouldn't have found out ourselves. Cool to hang with the italian stallions as well, Secret Sphere didn't believe their eyes when we were drinking 24/7!!!
June, midsummer, and time for the mini tour with Pyramaze, Tomas couldn't find a babysitter so we utilized Mattias Hultman Hansson's talents for this trip, it was almost as hysteric as the KD tour, and we drank so much Denmark went dry as a desert.
The whole fall has been spent writing lyrics, we , Fred&Ted, have been bouncing stuff back and forth trying to come up with an interresting story that will captivate the listener, and hopefully make them (YOU) think...we have recorded demos for 6 songs. But we have alot of writing to do yet.
To round things up we have uploaded the song Symbiosis over at our myspace site. It is a proggy fucker which we hope you'll enjoy cause we gonna play it live for ya next year!
Well a happy new year and we'll see you fuckers on the road in 2007!
/Teddy Möller on behalf of Loch Vostok
Since we had some spare time we have started doing some updates on the website. A gallery section is added where we will put our tour/drunk/tattoo/whatever-pics. It's still in a construction phase but there are some shit there already so take a peak.
Also check out the new presentation of our dedicated tour crew!
Sooo, you ask yourself? what are those lazy bastards up to anyway... well, Teddy and Kup is busy producing a coupla bands in the studio, and we've been doing demos, got 3 new Vostok songs ready, and Fred and Teddy are writing lyrics like crazy, a lot of research to do, we're doing the most gay thing a band can do...a CONCEPT ALBUM!!! Sooo fucking gay! But it's a really cool, and important subject matter. We promise it will be totally false metal!
Just wanna thank everyone who came down and banged with us at the Swedish Metal Expo last weekend, we had a fuckin blast!
Cheerz!
/Loch Vostok

Pat (F.K.Ü.) with Mitch Harris and Jesse Pintado (Napalm Death)
Some weeks of rehabilitation after the Denmark trip with Pyramaze, we are now back again to brighten your day!
Stockholm is the scene and the 2nd of September is the date. It's the Swedish Metal Expo at Fryshuset where we will perform at 21:30! For more info check out their website.
We have not been entirely lazy or drunk though, (at least some of us hehe) we have started the writing process for the next album. We have no idea where it will lead us, probably someplace weird!
...By the way if you are registered at our forum, head over there and vote for your favorite Destruction time agan track!
Kling Kling!
Loch Vostok would like to congratulate former keyboardist Sebastian "Zeb" Okupski
and his girlfriend Jenny on the birth of their daughter Isabella. Skål!

Back home again after two kickass gigs in Denmark together with Pyramaze.
First one at the very cool place Banehuset in Sommersted and the other at
Copenhagen's "The Rock" where also Stress Factor 9 joined the bill (with
Randy Rampage of Annihilator fame on vocals).
We've played at the Rock before and it was great as usual but extremely fucking hot.
In between we refilled our alcohol stock at Flensburg in Germany and
celebrated midsummer in Copenhagen with some of the intromental guys/bands.
Once again we are very greatful to our now experienced crew of Urban "Mad Butcher" Stenfelt, Macke "Åke" Ring and
Simon "Damp JR" Hannula, this time being reinforced with Anders "Knarkarn" Björk. Many thanks to Claus "Var e älgarna"
and Intromental, the Pyramaze guys,
and Tommy of Banehuset for doing our sound!
Last but not least a big cheerz to Mattias "Hultman" Hansson of Searing I who on a
very short notice stepped in to do the bass in Tymen's absence. Thanks man
for doing a killer job and saving our asses!
Until next time!

We have been confirmed to play at the Swedish Metal Expo which will be held at Fryshuset, Stockholm 1-2 September. There will be more bands playing so check out their homepage here. We will also play the at Alundafestivalen in Uppsala. On a more boring note though, our Hamburg gig in june has been cancelled but we will still playing 2 denmark shows which we are looking forward to! See ya out there!
We have just uploaded another nifty piece from DESTRUCTION TIME AGAIN called 'Gestalt'. So be sure to head over to our myspace area [www.myspace.com/lochvostok] to check it out. And yeah we know! It is a shameful way of improving our stats there hehe!
Wow! Yesterday we played at Fellini's in Uppsala in celebration of our homecoming and release of DESTRUCTION TIME AGAIN. And what a blast it was! We entered the stage a bit past midnight and everything just turned into a real heavy metal fest! There were singalong and headbanging like we´ve never seen before! Thanks everyone who were there, the nice people at Fellini's and of course our amazing crew! It was killer and truly a night to remember! We salute you! Cheerz!
We're back home. Yeah it sucks. Yeah we had a good time, the King and his band and crew, Nacke, Niller, Harry, Hasse, Jodi, Tue, Mats, Mike, Andy, Hal and Matt, you all kick ass. A huge thanks to Intromental and Ole Bang for setting this up for us. The biggest THANKS in the world goes to our fantastic crew Urban Stenfelt (Driver+photo/video) Marcus Ring (Stage pre/after show and merch) Simon Hannula (merch and runner) and our fantastic Tour manager Rene Nielsen. FINT DE! Great job guys. Also a big hug to Secret Sphere, it was a pleasure! KLING KLING! Just so you all know, Finland is the metal capital of the world. Thanks to the great guys at King Foo and Hellsinki! We sold heaps of merch, so I guess we gained a ton of new fans on this tour. A massive thanks to everyone who banged their heads together with us!
On Saturday we're having our releaseparty at Fellini's Metal Bar, Now it's time to start writing some new stuff, then a mini tour in June together with the fantastic band Pyramaze! Cheerz, Loch Vostok
Back home for one day, then it's time for Stockholm and then Finland.
It's been great so far, especially the Danish audience which was fantastic.
We were very well recieved in Esbjerg, Aarhus and Copenhagen, We love Denmark,
we've played in Denmark many many times and it never gets boring, the Danish people
are so fucking nice, the beer is fantastic, and you can smoke anywhere which is always a
plus. The guys in Secret Sphere, who we share bus with, are really cool guys, and they
will be damaged forever after trying the Swedish way of drinking. Not to mention
how good the guys in the King Diamond crew and band treat us, we're so fucking stoked
to be on this tour...everyday when we see the KD soundcheck we pinch our arms...is this
for real? Goosebumps!!!!!
Tomorrow on the 14th of April is the album Destruction Time Again unleashed worldwide through Escapi Music.
We'll be out on the road the next couple of weeks opening for King Diamond together with Secret Sphere on his Scandinavian part of the tour. See you out there!
