DECEMBER 30 2005 | New Years message...

So, here's another year approaching us, 2006 already - and what will it bring?

Well, to Loch Vostok it will bring our first real tour, supporting our father who is in hell, King Diamond be thy name. It is truly a dream come true for us. King Diamond and Mercyful Fate has been an inspiration to me since 1984, and I know the other guys love the KING too. We've played "Welcome Home" many times live, and it's always a success, especially in Denmark.

Joining us in the tourbus will be Italian thrash/power/prog metal band Secret Sphere. Great band, and I hear from our manager, Claus Jensen they're great guys too. Fumes of alcohol will fuel this bus!

Keyboardist Andreas Lindahl quit Loch Vostok, too bad but he lives so far away from where we reside, at least a 6 hour drive, even if I'm driving :) His successor is Fredrik Klingwall, a great keyboardist and composer, currently in Rising Shadows and Anima Morte.

Here's a big cheerz to Andreas, we'll miss you, you crazy son-of-a-zappa, and here's a big cheerz to Fredrik, welcome onboard you crazy son-of-a-goat.

Oh, yeah.we have a coupla offers for our new album on the table ... yeah really!!! We're gonna sort it out right after the holidaze.

Happy New Year, and Stay Drunk!!!!
Teddy & LV

AUGUST 28 2005 | In memory of Denis "Piggy" D'Amour!!!

Today I learned that one of my biggest influences, Denis "Piggy" D'Amour has lost his battle with colon cancer. It is without doubt so that "Only the good die young". Dime, Doc, Cliff, Chuck, Piggy, who the fuck is next? This is getting on my nerves...really. Kill off some of the fucking scumbags on earth instead. It's a sad day for metal indeed. Hope VoiVod finishes the album they started to record, I wanna hear what my man Piggy came up with this time, a true genious.

R.I.P. Denis, your loyal fan since Dimension Hatröss,
Teddy Möller

MARCH 31 2005 | Studio update:

Yeeehaw! Bass done! Tomas is the tightest bastard out there, he nailed all tracks in one night, that guy is so easy going and a true master of his instrument. A pleasure to watch him play. We recorded the bass like this: One channel with his Behringer amp thru an SRV Henry the 8x8 into an ADK Studio Projects GR 8 for clean sound, and one channel thru a Behringer VAMP for some distortion. The Behringer products are often considered low budget stuff, and sure, they are cheap, but that doesn't mean they sound bad. Take the Autocom for instance, there is no way you can find a better compressor under $200, the Autocom goes for $119.99. The Vamp is the best of all Pod's, Stomps and all that stuff and you can find a used one for less than $90. Starting with clean guitars tonight! (into the Vamp thru a Tandberg Reel2Reel Tape recorder, miking the Tandberg speaker with a Langevin microphone).

MARCH 28 2005 | Updates from the studio:

Just finished guitarz last night, sounds incredible. Daniel came to our studio and set up the famous "Destroy Erase Improve" guitar sound. We're using a Peavey JSX with a Carlsbro 4x12, close miking with a Sennheiser Studiosound and an ADK GR8. We're both recording with my Ibanez 550, well adjusted it sounded better than both the Les Paul and the Stratocaster. Stringed with 009-048 kit, and drop D as usual it became a huge fucking monster. When we recorded we decided to use the same guitarplayer on both channels, every person has it's own rhythm, it slightly differs from person to person, I've experienced this numerous times, both with bands coming to our studio, and my own projects. So, me and Niklas took every other song, and it proved to be genious. I learned him my parts and he played them and vice versa. The guitars have never been tighter. Starting with Bass on Sunday...

FEBRUARY 15 2005 | All band members fired ... not!!!

I've fired everyone!

Not really, We just started the recording of our new album this Sunday.

Got drums for 6 songs down so far, continuing tomorrow and Thursday and if everything goes right we'll start with guitars on Saturday. I'll keep you posted.

Going for 12 songs this time.

Cheerz,

JANUARY 21 2005 | Friday madness

Another week has passed and so it's Friday, let the drinking begin!

Me (Teddy) and Nick started our own Production Company called "Blueflame Productions", we've been producing demos and albums for other artists for about two years now, and we feel it's time to get serious about it.

I've had a professional recording studio for about 10 years which me and Nick totally renovated last spring, and now we're building a huge Helmholz Resonator (a 125hz bass trap) which should be the last detail to fulfill.

We're working on a website with photos, mp3's gear list, microphone list, and also a little home recording school.

Teddy's new favourite drink: Bacardi Razz and Grape Tonic! Kickass!!!

Cheerz,
Teddy and LV

JANUARY 06 2005 | LV predicts the future:

Uppsala/Sweden Thursday the 6th of January, Progressive Cheeze Death meisters Loch Vostok announced to the world federations and UN that "we have seen the future".

Reportedly Loch Vostok spokesman and main scientist Teddy Möller had been looking out the window through the bottom of his empty highball glass and shouted, "I'm gonna vomit soon", therefore, he was able to predict the future.

Assistant lab rat Andreas Lindahl, who has won the prestigious Nobel prize in chemistry due to his skills in mixing gin with Raspberry soda allegedly stole the glass from his companion and saw his future unfold, "I'm gonna get drunk soon" he stated.

Rumors has it that lab owner Alvaro Svanerö, Assistant engineer Niklas Kupper and Janitor Tomas Tym Jonsson were all asleep during this breakthrough of gigantic proportions.

Other than that, Loch Vostok of course stays with Intromental cuz they fucking rule, and starts the recording of "Loch Vostok and Two Smoking Barrels" on February 12th.

DECEMBER 10 2004 | In honour of Dimebag Darrell (ex-Pantera, Damageplan):

This is heavy metal's own 9/11. Dimebag is dead, what a tremendous loss, one of Teddy and Niklas favourite guitarplayers of all time.

Shot and killed by a lunatic gunman December 8th 2004. On the same day as Lennon too, 24 years earlier ... what a weird coincidence.

He will be missed by millions, but he went out doing what he loved the most, kicking ass in front of his fans.

Shred in Peace brother, we love you and miss you allready.

NOVEMBER 11 2004 | Another concert "review":

Diabolical Days in Denmark!!!!!!

Spent the whole weekend in Denmark, gig at The Rock in Copenhagen on the Friday which was hilarious as we played a couple of cool covers, Welcome Home by King Diamond, Awakening by Nocturnal Rites, Breaking The Law by Judas Priest and Alison Hell by Annihilator. Great gig...could've been a few more attendants but hey, it was fun, and the club was cool.

PostShowParty, Tym was the drunkest of us all, it was fun seeing him sleeping and eating pizza at the same time:) Me, Alvaro and Andreas were pissed off that they don't take VISA card in Denmark...we desperately wanted burgers...aaaaaargh!

Saturday we had a gig in Aabenraa, the gig was booked by Pyramaze/Wuthering Heights drummer Morten, who's one of the nicest guys in the world. Thanks for having us, the gig was really funny and heavy as fuck. Afterwards, I was so drunk, the last few hours are a blur :)

Also, thanks to Claus Jensen (Intromental) for the hospitality, you are the best friend and manager any band could have.

All'n'all, a great fucking drunken weekend, gimme more of those please!

NOVEMBER 11 2004 | Concert "review":

Hey All!

Saturday was the debut gig with Andreas Lindahl on keys, Fellini's was open 'til 4 so we didn't start playing 'til 1. It was an ok wait tho, we had beers and drinks in the dressing room and we were pretty hungover anyway since I had my 34th birthday party the night before.

Like any false metal band we didn't have any chicks, but damn, Alvaro is HOT in jockstraps :) We entered the stage with the Black Metal assault of "Nothingness" and the crowd went mad, it's obvious we're getting pretty popular around here since people was singing along on most of the songs from the "Dark Logic" album. We also played a coupla new tracks to try them out for a live audience, and one of 'em, namely "Talk" was an instant hit, third chorus, people were singing along with that one too.

We ended the show with inviting Zeb up on stage for a cover of Annihilator's "Alison Hell", that was fun, and Zeb kicked ass. Alvaro was the highlight of the show for me, he played so inspirational and tight I couldn't believe my ears.

Nice live show, and guess what? Andreas knew the songs better than any of us original members. He's a maniac! Quote: "I lost the monitor for a while, then I just played really fast". Gotta love it.

Teddybeer
